I'm a little late joining this thread (and scubaboard) so I apologize. It seems like you guys were looking for tank rentals, if you want tanks for $6 a pop or $3 fills just let me know. Also did you guys want to dive the Trench at night? That's really when it gets fun IMO.

OK, someone brought up that we should have an alternate incase the conditions are poor. Suggestions? Or should we just hang out, eat and have fun if the swells are up??

I'm assuming if conditions are poor in Haleiwa, conditions would also be poor further north (i.e. Shark's Cove).

Only other alternate site I can think of that has a grassy area is Electric Beach. If we aren't all going to be diving at the same time, there shouldn't be an issue of keeping an eye on the cars. Anyway, with as crowded as the beaches will be that day, there will be a steady stream of people coming in/out.

Electric is probably the best alternate..if not the best site (for a get together). The pavillion is pretty nice...and no long @$$ walk to get into the water. Plus North Shore is a mad house after 11am on weekends...I'm sure labor day is only going to be worse.

Okay, count me in! I'll be bringing one maybe 2 guests for another awesome dive at the trench. For those out there who have yet to dive it... its a great spot right here in our own backyard. Justleesa, let me know what still needs be brought fer da pin-a-nic.
