I just got word back. Tanks to rent cost $8 a day per tank. If you need tanks send me a PM and I'll give you the number to call

Wow - Generally speaking Maui is more expensive than the other islands, but when it comes to tanks/air fills we seem to have some of the least expensive in the country ;)

Many places are $5/tank rental and bulk rates can drop the prices down as low as $2 at some locations (Pacific Dive is where I get mine)

Funny but my friends who fill paintball air cylinders pay more to fill their 7cf tanks than I do for my 80's LOL ...

Anyone planning on more than 2 tanks for the day?

Aloha, Tim

I am planing on two or three. Tims right, no one is lower that maui for air or rentals. I had to buy a 50 tanks fill card on the big isle to get the same price I got for a 10 tank card in Maui @$2/fill....$8/tank? Ohana Kai and Deep Eco are both at $6. You must have called the surf shop? Forget the name.....I'll fill in what ever needs to be brought for food. Let me know.

I spoke with Rill :D The 8 is the rental price she gave me.
I can get a fill for $3 or less...I just don't have enough tanks for everybody :o(

The problem with renting from See In Sea on a holiday is that they close early. They also enforce the 24 hour rule. They open late. Otherwise, I would meet someone there and rent a couple of tanks on Sunday for return on Monday. My price is $4/tank because I'm a club member. So if anyone lives in town and wants to meet me at the shop on Sunday and can return the tanks on Monday by 1 p.m. , I'll meet you there and do it for you. This just doesn't give you much time to dive and socialize. I like to get an early start on Monday morning so I can't meet you there Monday morning.

I want to make a day of it and do 2 or 3 dives so I don't want to have to return them. So it's really only an offer to get you a good price on tanks. Oh, and you would have to meet me because my little Echo can't hold a bunch of tanks, poor thing.
