I got (used) Scuba Max regulator (that came with pony bottle I got from someone on SB here). I took it to the LDS to find out that it has high pressure creep. I can't find the contact info to check with the manufacturer what my options are to fix it.

Thoughts? I don't even know what model. It pretty much looks like Sea Elite Tek X regulator from the outside.

Thanks!

The Sea Elite X, Edge, Hog, Dive Rite, Scuba Max, etc are all made by Ocean Divers Supply in Tawain. They all look the same.

your LDS said it was high pressure creep? did they not fix ? (I might be wrong, but I think this is something that can be fixed by a rebuild at your LDS. someone correct me if I'm wrong).

Take a digital picture of the first and second stage and email it to me here at DiveSports. Better yet, just package it up and send it over to us and we will get it working like a brand new regulator. Thanks.

A creep can be caused by a worn HP seat or orings at the piston itself. Another common cause is a defective knife edge on the piston in the case of a piston type or a HP Crown for a diaphragm such as yours. Either way unless the crown isn't replacable, it shouldn't take too much to get it performing like it did when new.

unless someone has gouged up the inside removing the old orings.
