I guess I missed some replies in my haste so now I have a better understanding of things you need and also to think of what I'd need as a marine biologist. You've all been great. Of course I just have one more little question. I am only 20 and know no one else who dives. I only have 3 dives in from the class. Where do you go to dive with other people or should I take the next level (I live in Maryland and hope, wish, I can go to grad school in Australia)? Whatever, I absolutely love it!

There are a few clubs around the DC area. Here is a list to a bunch in MD. I don't know how active they are other than the Rangers, whom I've actually heard of before and spoken with members.

Also talk to your scuba instructors and your LDS (Local Dive Shop) and see if they can hook you up with other divers.

If you're up for some cold water diving during the winter hit me up and we can do some dives at the "chilly willy" days for Millbrook. (If that's even remotely close to where you are in MD)

Thanks for the list, I'll definitely check it out the list.. I'm out near DC so I'm not sure where Milford is. Definitely will ask my teachers!

About 20 minutes west of dulles. Probably about an hour drive from you, depending upon whether you're east side or west side of the beltway.

may i ask where do you usually dive in warmer weather? unfortunately i won't be freezing here this winter.. i'll be nice and warm as i do my junior year abroad in new zealand!
