u mean the one by chavit singson, Partas I think, those buses are really nice and comfy. :D used to take Farinas.
serious question: i have to go to la union this weekend... what's the best bus to take... cold AC is not my problem (my nipples can handle them)... i just want something fast, comfy and where they don't air stupid ABS-CBN shows during the whole trip

I usually take Partas or Fariñas. The night trips are faster.

Surfing season in La Union around this time. Jag.

There is no diving site in Laoag, only in Pagudpud and its about 2hrs ride from Laoag City.It does not really take about 10hrs bus drive to go there from Manila, only 7hrs except on Holy Week and Haloween where as usual, people from Manila leaves for the provinces for a long holiday. Batac is also a good choice (Marcos museum) but I suggest that you try to visit Juan and Antonio Lunas' house also after the Marcoses coz it's also interesting (forgot the town name but it's before the boundary of Norte and Sur). For souvenirs, just go to the town market ( shops are all closed by 7pm). If you're planning to buy lobsters,1 meter long fishes like maya-maya,milk fishes, etc, to bring back to Manila, then Pagudpud is the place because its there where they catch it and its much cheaper there than in Laoag or any other towns but you have to be there by 6am-9am to get the better ones 'coz people from Cagayan also go there for those. If you want to buy bagnet or longanisa, San Nicholas market is the best place.

I dont suggest diving there. I was there last december and was planning the same thing. Snorkeling was really boring, terrain did look interesting and fort ilocandia didn't offer diving that time for some reason. Out of the 20++ activites posted on their site I think only 3 were available.
