amen to that. i wonder if you have this tanline-fading syndrome. I get a tan line from basking under the sun today and its gone tomorrow. something's odd with my melanin make up :rofl2: but I love it! :blinking:

Whatever it is Ish, bottle it up and market it... you'd make a killing on it in the PI and rest of Asia... "Ish's Secret Skin Whitener..."

i am getting darker and darker these days. ish, do you have any alternative for sun protection on your face when u dive? i couldnt put a suntan else it screws up the vision (id rather get burned). and neither do i put lotion on when im wearing my wetsuit, something tells me its not recommended and im too lazy to find out if i was wrong or not.

Mags, ask Larry, he seems to be able to keep his skin pretty white...

Try to find a waterproof, non-greasy high SPF lotion (40+spf). The dilemma is if I've got too much lotion on my face, I find sometimes I won't get a good seal on my mask. But then if you don't put any lotion on your face, you're gonna get dark/ burned (depending on your complexion) from the boat ride from direct sun and from the reflection off the water. Alternative is to get one of those floppy wide brim surfer hats (Larry would suggest a pink straw cowboy hat, but that's another story...) As for not putting lotion on underneath your suit, that's fine as long as you keep your suit on all the time (if Larry is on the boat, well then he'd probably recommend you hop out of your suit... ) But if you take the top off after the dive, you're gonna get burned... Anyways, you'll be thanking yourself when you're older and not fretting about wrinkles and freckles/ melanoma from all that sun exposure...
