I'm a Fish!
All,
Poseidon unfortunately has some specifically annoying tools that are required when repairing their regs. While there are workarounds for all of them, they can be annoying. One in particular is a 27mm crows foot for removing the top of the Jetstream and current Cyklon first stages. Most people will buy a 27mm wrench *read HUGE* and grind down the ends to make it small enough *read PITA*.
I purchased most of the specialty tools from Scuba Clinic Tools a few months ago and they were in the middle of redesigning their top removal tool from a standard crows foot to this thing which I just ordered and am very excited to evaluate in a few weeks

These tools utterly brilliant and makes the whole process of rebuilding this regulator so much easier. With Poseidon either refusing to sell, or charging an insane amount of money for their specialty tools, I bought all of the tools from Scuba Tools Clinic out of frustration when I couldn't get some used Jetstreams apart that had some salt corrosion. I was using some rather ghetto ways to get this regs rebuilt, but they worked as long as everything was lubed and not too terribly frozen together. I couldn't get anything to work without these tools and scratched some chrome on one of them, but as soon as they came in it was almost effortless to break them apart. Amazing what properly designed tools do for you.

The whole package from there wasn't cheap, with shipping it was just shy of $150, but good lord it made rebuilding this regulators so much easier for me. I'm not paid or endorsed by them, nor did I get any deals or whatever, just a really happy customer.

Of note, this tool also removes the bottom section of the 2960 first stage and makes quick work of it

They have specialty tools for a myriad of other regulators as well, but I haven't had a need to try any of them out

I thought prices are high. Their blunt pick is $5.75 while scubatools has exact same for $2.05.

I'm used to automotive tool prices. Snap On would have charged $29.95 for that same pick. :D :D :D Mac and Matco would have only charged $22.95.

the generic tools may be high, I didn't look for any of those, but Scubatools doesn't have Poseidon specific tools so wasn't an option for me to even look at

I found a set of o-ring tools and I thought it was on www.McMaster.com, where I get all of my o-rings. They were SS, with an oval handle and the tip end was like a half cork screw. I would like to get another set, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. They are the easiest tool to remove captured o-rings. Put the tip just above the o-ring and give a quick twist. It never fails and I never let my students near them. The angle has to be just right to not jam and break them.

Ohhhh... O-ring Pick porn! I love it! :D :D :D

Not precisely the tool, but that one has nice curves and I love the perky tip.
