Heath and Opal are both at a Miami hospital, but that is all I know.Lot of comments on who what where or why, but the most important question is: how are Opal, Gabby and Heath doing? Christy, Jen, MMM, Tony or anyone on Island, just some good news on the folks would be reassuring to the rest of us. Thanks for any info, also understand that you are not family and may not want to comment. Just hope all are getting through this OK!!!!
Where is her brother posting info?Elsewhere Opal's brother Joseph posted at 2:50 AM that Opal had arrived at a hospital in Miami, FL, and was responsive.

The threads about this accident have gotten large, so I don't remember exactly which thread said what, but I've read that Heath was back in North Carolina maybe a couple days ago now, and is continuing treatment there, and like gypsyjim said, Opal has arrived in Miami. Her brother also said that she was responsive and answering the medical staff's questions with blinks. There was a questions I think on the scubadving mag forum about what they didn't take her to either Merida or Mexico City, both of which have very good hospitals, and Jen said it was because as an uninsured US citizen she didn't have access to the specialists she needs in Mexico.Lot of comments on who what where or why, but the most important question is: how are Opal, Gabby and Heath doing? I believe someone said yesterday that he went back to NC. There are several threads and they've all gotten pretty big so it's hard to keep track of where I read what, but I'm sure it was that he's in NC, which I presume is home for him.Heath and Opal are both at a Miami hospital, but that is all I know.
