ScoobieDooo once bubbled...
Its highly unfortunate that it has come to this with the drysuit. Perhaps what is needed is another 'round' of 'talk's and calm communication to see what can be done to resolve this matter to everyone's satisfaction?
"Can't we all just get along here?" [/QUOTE
Well Scoobie that would have been the right thing for Dan's and Bare to
do. A little thing called customer service. I see they both don't know
the first thing about it.
I called Bare directly this morning. 9:00 AM their time. I left a
message on the manager's voice mail. The same manager I spoke to on
Friday. I wanted to let him know how Dan's threatened to bring a
slander
law suit against me, and how they called me a coward for letting people
know not to deal with them. And how Dan's shouldn't have to deal with
this BS that I'm putting them through. I also wanted to let Bare know
how Dan's an authorized dealer for Diving Concepts installed a cheap
knock off of the DC gloves and charged me the same price for the DC
gloves.
I called DC today also. Spoke to their manager just to give him a heads
up. But anyway back to Bare. Apparently Bare and Dan's is happy with
the
money they received from me for a poor excuse of a suit that fits me.
Even the manager from Bare who on Friday told me this would be worked
out between me, Dan's and Bare so I could get into a suit that fits me.
That couldn't be further from the truth. The manager must have been to
busy to call me back. Great customer relations on the part of Bare
don't
you think?
So not to get SCREWED any more by them. I took it upon myself to send
my
ill-fitted suit to a reliable and competent company. I sent it to
www.drysuitrepair.com to have them make the proper alterations that
Dan's was unable to order and Bare was unable or unwilling to fix. So
in
the long run It's costing me close to $200 more for these repairs.
I wonder what would have happened if I would have gotten into a diving
accident or worse yet possibly died as a direct result from using this
ill fitting suit that I was assured by Dan's would fit me with no
problem. I wonder who them would be responsible. Dan's? They ordered
the
suit knowing it wouldn't fit me right. They were only interested in
making a quick buck.
I guess they feel that they didn't need any more of my business after
this botched excuse of a sale. If they did they certainly would have at
least tried to have the suit altered to fit me the right way. the way
it
fit from them it would have ended up sitting in a closet or being
Ebayed. But like I said they don't care. I really hope other can learn
from my mistake and make sure the go to REAL authorized and COMPETANT
dealers for their gear. Especially ones costing such a large sum of
money....
