Its highly unfortunate that it has come to this with the drysuit. Perhaps what is needed is another 'round' of 'talk's and calm communication to see what can be done to resolve this matter to everyone's satisfaction?

Well Scoobie that would have been the right thing for Dan's and Bare to
do. A little thing called customer service. I see they both don't know
the first thing about it.

I called Bare directly this morning. 9:00 AM their time. I left a
message on the manager's voice mail. The same manager I spoke to on
Friday. I wanted to let him know how Dan's threatened to bring a
slander
law suit against me, and how they called me a coward for letting people
know not to deal with them. And how Dan's shouldn't have to deal with
this BS that I'm putting them through. I also wanted to let Bare know
how Dan's an authorized dealer for Diving Concepts installed a cheap
knock off of the DC gloves and charged me the same price for the DC
gloves.

I called DC today also. Spoke to their manager just to give him a heads
up. But anyway back to Bare. Apparently Bare and Dan's is happy with
the
money they received from me for a poor excuse of a suit that fits me.
Even the manager from Bare who on Friday told me this would be worked
out between me, Dan's and Bare so I could get into a suit that fits me.
That couldn't be further from the truth. The manager must have been to
busy to call me back. Great customer relations on the part of Bare
don't
you think?

So not to get SCREWED any more by them. I took it upon myself to send
my
ill-fitted suit to a reliable and competent company. I sent it to
www.drysuitrepair.com to have them make the proper alterations that
Dan's was unable to order and Bare was unable or unwilling to fix. So
in
the long run It's costing me close to $200 more for these repairs.

I wonder what would have happened if I would have gotten into a diving
accident or worse yet possibly died as a direct result from using this
ill fitting suit that I was assured by Dan's would fit me with no
problem. I wonder who them would be responsible. Dan's? They ordered
the
suit knowing it wouldn't fit me right. They were only interested in
making a quick buck.

I guess they feel that they didn't need any more of my business after
this botched excuse of a sale. If they did they certainly would have at
least tried to have the suit altered to fit me the right way. the way
it
fit from them it would have ended up sitting in a closet or being
Ebayed. But like I said they don't care. I really hope other can learn
from my mistake and make sure the go to REAL authorized and COMPETANT
dealers for their gear. Especially ones costing such a large sum of
money....

Hi,
Dans Dive Shop seems to have a good rep, FWIW. This is the first negative thing I've heard about them.

I suspect you're going to have trouble getting money back on your CC now that you've altered the suit. Has the CC got back to you yet?

I'm not looking to get money back. I want a dry suit that fits me the right way. i wanted Dan's or Bare to tell me to send it back and they would take care if it for me. They both couldn't be bothered. I sent out the suit to fix it and use it. I posted all this so everyone could see the potential problems that could be faced. Dan's scewed me to no end on this one. If you can't see that then I don't know hat to tell you.

Now it is time to let it go. Since you have already persued another remedy the best thing is to just drop it with Dan's and Bare... it will only earn you ulcers to keep chewing on this.

So... on another note... did the drysuit repair folks get correct measurements from you?

Oh and one more thing thatx for the heads up with the Dive Rite bungee straps. Got them for my comp and compass. They're awesome.
Does Dive Rite have pre-made bungee straps for comp and compasses? Or is it just the bulk cord you can order by the foot? I seem to be having trouble tying knots that will stay put on those darn bungee cords.

HAHA
Thanx for stepping in there UP. You're 100% right. Yes drysuitrepairs.com has the correct measurements. I shipped ot off today, they should have it by Wedneday. They offer for $50 more a 4 day turn around soooooooooooo hopefully I'll have my suit back by the end of next week. :D

I got my Bare Dry suit from Leisure Pro last year. It only took 3 weeks and cost $540!!!! It works great. It was brand new. I am a stock size but I am sure you could get one close to your size and then have it modified.

I am shopping for a new drysuit now, not because of a problem but because I want a new one. I have not been able to find a LDS that has a Diving Concepts Ultra Flex Pro Suit that I can try on. I just went through an ordeal ordering a drysuit at my LDS. Fortunately I got my money back. I don't care about cost now, I just don't want any problems.

The bungee cords have a belt buckle end on them. Very easy to use. No knot tying or anything you just lace it like a belt kinda and violla.

Check this site I think they have a pic of it.

only one question..why are you blaming bare??its the lds that you should be blaming not bare..obviously he made a mistake in the measurement department..if bare had to make up for every blunder that someone else made they would be out of business..good luck with your suit though
