Scout - LED upgrade

LED Scout
Tried one in our showroom. Not the tight beam I would have hoped for. Does not seem to be any different from any other LED lights I have tried.

However, I do like the new short version scouts...

It's just coming out. It takes only 2 batteries. Every thing else about the light is the same...only shorter.

We had a few in our shop, don't know if there are any links yet...

Are you sure that it is eLED. The mini scout has been released in U.S. already.
But, mini scout isn't eLED light even if it requries only two batteries.

Yes, you are right. We can upgrade mini scout light to eLED at additional $129.

So total will be $79 or $60 plus $129.... Wow. I had better stick to UK eLed light....

So whats the bottom line.....

Is the LED upgrade for the Scout a good move? I have a flooded Scout, and am looking at replacing the reflector/bulb assembly.

Does anyone actually have the upgrade now and can post some input?
