I want to be able to handle as many in's and out's of diving as possible to make myself marketable.... and I like fixing stuff. Can anyone point me toward resources related to servicing and repairing equipment?

Regs, BC's, cylinders, everything.

P.S.
Google sucks. It has turned into the largest and most useless classified section in the history of the universe, with the possible exception of the Encyclopedia Galactica.

did you try PADI? They have an equipment class. After that you will need certification on the particular equipment you will be using.

Most of the Manufacturers host classes in certain regions for their equipment. But the PADI class isn't a bad idea. Halls Diving School has a good Equipment school as well. Several of the Large Diving Schools have a section involving equipment repairs.

Good Luck,
Matt

Here's a link to a company which advertises on PADI's website: EASE Special Course Packages for Ease Scuba Instructor School Florida

They offer a Repair Technician package which teaches you to work on Aqualung regulators, do VIP inspections, and other tasks. I don't have any experience with the class or company, but it looks like it'd be a good course.

While you are looking for formal training, these 2 books will give you more knowledge than most of the manuf reg classes....not the piece of paper that says you have been trained but you will likely have a better understanding of regs before you enter the class than most people have when they leave the class.
