Our current Mobile style is not up-to-date with all functionality vBulletin now offers.

Which features in the SB Default style should be implemented in the Mobile Style first?

getting back on topic....

I saw another website this weekend that for their mobile version, they had an easy to type web address that took them directly to that 'style' for Mobile.

it was m.domainname.com and/or mobile.domainname-com

that might be something that SB might be interesting in doing to make going mobile browsing easier.... (for the folks that don't have the mobile style already bookmarked).

would be easy to implement, as it's just a DNS redirect on your host provider table.

How does it enhance user privacy?
Some people feel that the way how they browse SB is not relevant to others.

They could of course delete the default text before posting but why make life more complicated than it has to be?

It will be taken into consideration.

Would it be possible to have a the send a pm link somewhere other than in the User CP ->Private Message -> Scroll to the bottom of the page to hit Send New Message. It seems like a lot of steps to send a pm. Even if the link stayed on the same page but was at the top of the page instead of the bottom, it would be better.

The PM menu bar has been duplicated on both top and bottom of the screen.

Is there a way to "force" a reload when u click a link?

As many of us have this issue when surfing via blackberry's I am sure it is a BB issue, but as none of us are going to be able change the BB software, maybe we can force it to accept a refreshed page everytime a link is clicked... Maybe Mike_s can elaborate as he isn't mobile...

Please please please!!!!

As for any other changes: I don't think any are needed. Adding more will just clutter up the precious screen space. If someone really wants to thank a post they can just wait till they get home and use the regular skin for that. If you want to add/edit/view/etc groups you can wait till you can use the full skin, etc. Don't take up valuable screen space with fluff.

As for defaulting to the mobile skin: You can sniff $_SERVER['HTTP_ACCEPT'] to look for wap and if so serve the mobile skin.

Also, having the new PM's show in BOLD would be nice so that they jump out as being unread. I also find it to be a real PITA because SB Mobile does not refresh automatically, so every page I go to, I have to refresh to see if there is a newer page. That just eats data plans for those with small plans.
:hmmm:
Unread PMs are displayed in Bold. At least when I use SB Mobile on my PC. Perhaps this issue is device-specific?

The ability to keep the previous text in a PM when you reply to it.....similar to quoting a post. And the Thanks of course :D

I've got the same problem.....

even after I read it, all the PM's still show up in BOLD because SB mobile won't refresh properly.
