Our current Mobile style is not up-to-date with all functionality vBulletin now offers.

Which features in the SB Default style should be implemented in the Mobile Style first?

What would changing the VB Core consist of? rebuilding the normal VB core?
The core is the part of vB that retrieves the data from the database and uses the presentation layer (coded in HTML) to generate web pages you see on your screen. It will not be changed unless we really have to.

I would think this would be a good case for the development server Pete talked about when the new servers were fielded...
Nah...

I would suggest the "thanks" button be incorporated.
As for any other changes: I don't think any are needed. Adding more will just clutter up the precious screen space. If someone really wants to thank a post they can just wait till they get home and use the regular skin for that. If you want to add/edit/view/etc groups you can wait till you can use the full skin, etc. Don't take up valuable screen space with fluff.
If the Thanks button is implemented here, it will be on the [Edit][Reply][Report Post!] line. The additional frame listing all members who thanked that particular post would not be displayed, perhaps only the total number of thanks (also on that line).

Is there a way to note the forum that the posts are coming from in the listing before you click the link to get in the thread. It may just crowd the screen and not a biggie but it might work.

Also, can the profile page of the members show their location. The current mobile version does not list a location and sometimes it is nice to know where someone is from to understand their perspective cuz warm weather in Chicago is different than warm weather in Australia this time of the year.

MAybe that would be a good way to do the thanks button on the rest of SB also, instead of like is in my sig line, show 25 people found this post helpful. is there a way that it can be setup similar to polls that you click the number on the poll results column to see who voted?

I am not sure I am being clear . . . if I am not being clear let me know . . .

In this example the highlighted number "8" would be a link to show the names that are underlined, said names wouldn't show on the thread, until you clicky click the number. Once you click the number it would take you to a different screen, the same way it does in a poll before you have voted if it is a public poll. . .. Make sense?

Is the URL displayed when you "hover" on a link? Or is that not possible when using a PDA?

Done.

not possible on BB's

Done.

There is no hovering on the PDA. You see the link and then either use your touch screen and tap it or use a scroll feature and scroll over to it and click a button to use that link. The only way to see the forum is to go hit the link and go to that page. Then you can see which forum it is on on the top of the page.

To add the forum location to the screen would probably crowd it but it would be nice. Not necessary but nice.

No biggie then.

Oh and thanks for the locale on the mobile bio's. You are a fast responder!

It's clear what you mean but a bit too much for the Mobile style.

The entire site cannot be displayed perfectly on a much smaller screen, some functionality will be sacrificed.

What will happen in the Default style is another discussion.
