I am a warm water diver, living in Charleston SC, and I start each season the first of May. Last season I started with a 2mm jumpsuit. It was perfect. I had my 5mm jumpsuit and hood just in case.
There may be some current. If its too strong they will not let you dive. They really do not want to loose anyone.
The viz may be great or it may not be good at all. Cant predict that.
You can find offshore dives from 50 feet to 130 feet. They are listed on the local dive shop websites.
LOTS of sealife. Large and small. Sharks. Large schools. Turtles. eels. Dolphin. Whale. Jacks. Rays. Barracuda. Tropicals.
