OK yawl, appearently we're being dubbed CrAzY for wanting to dive at night off of Venice Beach. Well, thats what my wife says while she's putting in JAWS to watch for the 2034053th time.
Sunset is 6.56 at Venice this Friday. Rain is also being projected in the forecast for a front moving through.
Alternate plans: Saturday evening?
First dive being approximately 5.30pm - this would be kind of fun watching the twilight and possibly sunset (depending on SAC rate) off the beach.
In the interest of spouses and drive times 2nd dive to start no later than 2030 (8.30pm). That should give some time to rehydrate, refuel the body, change tanks, etc..
Just to put it out there, my goals for doing a night dive there are not to set new records with my bottom time and tooth counts, but to enjoy the 'changing of the guard' and seeing the 'night life' off of VB. Any teeth, megs, bones, collected otherwise are a bonus!
Whose in??
