Wow Mr. part-time coxswain, who was that handsome guy who provided those pictures?

The Pedro was built approx. 1946 in Japan. She was a commercial fishing ship off of the Big Island until about 1975 when she caught fire. Then she sat for about 15 years in various places around the islands until she sank in Ke'ehi lagoon. The state sold the ship to Atlantis submarines for $1 plus reimbursement for clean up costs. Total cost of sinking her was about $360,000. She went down in her current location in 1996, however every big storm that comes through moves her around a little and further damages her.

Great info....love telling wreck stories :D

If people have more wreck stories, please add them.

I have some info posted on the Mahi and Sea Tiger.

Even thou pretty much all the wrecks are purposely sunk, there is still a story behind it.
