Has anyone dove in the San Marcos River below Aquarina Springs? It looks promising when I scoped it out on Google Earth.

I dive it often in the winter. This year was not very good as flow was low and it has been quite some time since we have had enough rain to uncover more treasures. There are some decent holes up to 14 ft and other places where you just have to stand up and walk (crawling ruins the wet suit). Tubers should start restocking the modern treasures soon.

I've done alot of skin diving in it over the years, mostly up at the headwaters. I haven't been in 2 years though.

How deep is the water around the trestle at Rio Vista?

at this time...if you can find 8 ft I would be surprised....

The Comal is still a decent river to dive and it doesn't as much vegetation as the San Marcos River and it is only 20 miles south of here...

I'll vote for the Comal too. Scubaland is running a 'shakeout dive' there on Mar 28th and a few Swampers might be doing a night dive that evening.

Several CDOT members are going to make the Comal on March 21 (although we're just getting started on the details). Come on along!
