Hi all - I will be in San Diego for a conference next month (mid-Feb), and would love to squeeze in a shore dive while I'm in town (weather permitting). Any recommendations for shops or guides in town that offer guided dives in the San Diego area? I dive the Florida springs regularly (and the Gulf in winter very occasionally), but have never done any cold water West Coast diving.

Take A Boat. It will cost you a little more. Hook up with a diver on board. But you won't have to deal with parking, walking, swimming, fighting the surf. You get 3 dives, snacks, & boat ride. "WaterHorse Charters, Marissa are the local dive boats". Bring a camera, Lots to see above and below.

I did two guided shore dives with San Diego Scuba Pros last year. Fun dives with sea lions in the kelp forest at La Jolla. The water will be quite cold in February.
