I hope Flash never comes to an Apple product. I just got a MacBook Air and the only thing that makes it run hot, makes me notice the fan run and kills the battery insanely fast is Flash. Flash does not run well on Mac or PC and for 99% of what it's used for, it's unnecessary. It's just developers being lazy. Like when web design switched from table-based design to CSS: CSS was weird and new and a bunch of people didn't want to change. Now table-based designs are all but gone and are penalized by search engines. HTML5 can do everything Flash can do, across any device and with far less resources. Sorry, let my nerd out a little there...
As for the past of Apple without Jobs, that was back when there wasn't as much of an "Apple culture", sure there were plenty of Apple fans, but the internal structure was nothing like it is now. It's a solid machine, they have a gigantic war chest (in terms of cash, intellectual property and talent), they'll be fine for a long time to come.
