I am looking for dive shop recommendations and any other information you may have for Saba.
My husband and I will be taking the ferry over from Saint Martin, the end of October. I have seen threads posted, but nothing recent.
We are planning on staying 5 to 7 days, then meeting friends in Saint Martin for a week.
It looks like Sea Saba gets good reviews, has anyone used them recently?
Is there a certain area we should be staying in? I am thinking of the Windward area.
Are cabs readily available?
Thanks!

Their medical school isn't too bad, either.

We've been to Saba three times. The third time was for two months in January/February 2021. Sea Saba is the shop we dive with when there. I'd recommend staying in Windwardside. Pretty much everything is there except the government offices in The Bottom. Taxi's are always available but if you're staying in Windwardside for less than a week it's doubtful you'll need them too many times. Maybe to go to a restaurant or trailhead once or twice. There are two primary activities, diving and hiking (casual or serious). I'm not a hiker but I've done most of the hikes. Saba is a place that you need to love for everything it is AND everything it isn't. It is NOT big hotels, casinos, all-inclusive resorts, beaches, or nightlife. It is friendly people, tremendous views from almost everywhere, fantastic diving, great hiking, nature trails.

I'm happy to go on more about how much we love Saba if there is anything else you want to know.

You might be interested in diving on the liveaboard Caribbean Explorer II. Up to 28 dives during the week, accommodation, meals, and diving services included. It departs out of Philipsburg, Sint Maarten. Here is the info: Saba - St. Kitts Liveaboard Diving | Explorer Ventures

+1 for Explorer Ventures Liveaboard aboard the Caribbean Explorer II. Great Company all around with all their trips. We did the Saba/St Kitts trip some years back and enjoyed it very much.
