It wasn't me!

Awesome lake though, Bill knows it blindfolded.

When I was at Chatfield two weeks ago, there wasn't much difference between diving it with or without a blindfold.

I was recently in Custer National Park and I checked out quite a few mountain lakes. Sylvan Lake, which is very close to Mt Rushmore, looked outstanding. I actually had tanks and drysuit with me, but I couldn't talk my wife into diving it with me, so now its on my "to do" list!
Most of the mountain lakes are at relatively low elevation.
Hopefully someone who has some experience diving South Dakota will give us some feedback, because it would be fun to do a diving roadtrip up there.
 
Lake pactola in the Black hills near Rapid City has good vis 20 to 30 feet haven't dove there in several years though.
