I need information concerning diving in Royal Springs, Branford, Fl. The information I have found classifies this spot as dangerous for non-cave divers. Has anyone been there? I would like to hear your impression of the place. Anyone?

Happy Friday,

The place is nice because it does not cost any money to dive there. Just be careful because the bottom is a very fine silt that will stir up easily. The cave is easy to get to and it starts out very big, but like every other cave, don't go inside unless you have cave training.

It is a great place for begining dives as long as you stay in the OW, or if you feel comfortable dive safely in the slight overhang. There is a cave but most people regard it as dagerous due to it being small and silty. Right now, however , the spring is flooded and non diveable. It may take a few weeks or more to clear out. It is free to get in, and once in has a nice large spring basin, with OW depths to 30ft, and max depth to 50 under the overhang. Heres a pic.

USAF, Jviehe ,

Thank you both for the information.

Jviehe, thanks the for the pic. Looks very nice. Too bad is not diveable right now. I was planning on stoping by next Friday. Thanks for saving me the time, :)

Have a great weekend, y'all.
