Route change from BDE to North

As someone who does the Red Sea every other year for Christmas/New Year I can say that, yes, sometimes it can be rough sailing, but most of the time we had calm seas. One of the worst days was one time at Abu Nuhas.

A buddy and I had a BDE trip scheduled next week, out of Hurghada. Liveaboard.com just notified us via email that "due to unfavorable conditions in the BDE area, the operator has made the difficult decision to adjust the routes to North and Ras Mohamed". It seems like we may have an option to cancel if we don't want it.

We have never dove in the Red Sea, and while the BDE route is pretty well known, I have no idea what "North and Ras Mohamed" diving entails. Would appreciate the feedback on the following:

1. Is the new route worth going to (we will be flying from Boston, not exactly...
