Bay Island Diver:
The most relevant feedback I have on this operation is that they are currently the ONLY dive operation in the Marine Park Area who refuse to co-operate and enforce the $10/ year marine park fee.
Apparently, not correct- or their website disagrees, anyway....from their website:
Diving Luna Beach
Luna Beach offers two boats for your diving and sunning pleasure. Our larger, custom-built, dive boat has a Cummings diesel engine and is 47 feet long and extra wide at 12 feet. We also have a smaller boat for diving. Boat usage will be based on the number of divers in the dive party.
The boat comes fully equipped:
Twin ladders for easy climbing
Comfortable tank racks to secure your tank
Camera table (no need to throw your valuable camera under a bench!)
Fresh water rinse tank
Bottled water is available
Our Dive Shop
Luna Beach Resort offers a full service dive shop. With over 40 different dive sites only 2-20 minutes away by boat, you¹ll enjoy world class diving at its best! And, since visibility ranges from 75-150 feet, you¹ll see a huge variety of fish, sea life & coral in these protected waters. Whether you want to get PADI, (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) or SSI (Scuba Schools International) certified, at this time we are just accepting SSI Universal Referrals, please check with us for SSI instructor availability, we have the courses that will meet your needs. Now you can choose your certification affiliation. Want to get certified?
The dive shop is located in the main area of the resort, and is also a short walk from the dock/boat. We have Dive Instructors, Divemasters, and dedicated boat captains on staff to help you. We offer nitrox for those who are certified for its use. Not certified for nitrox? We offer training and certification!
Our Dive Shop also services and maintains our own and other equipment. In-store service guaranties quality rental and instructional equipment. All of our equipment is Sherwood, Genesis, and Akona.
When you return from diving we offer you fresh water showers and fresh water rinse tanks for your dive gear. We also provide lockers and locks for your dive gear at the dive shop.
