On the way to Fantasy Island from the airport we passed a place in a new-looking plaza that appeared to be a casino? Not sure if it was open or not.
Anyone have info on this place?

The picture you are referring to is on a games arcade located in Mega Plaza. They have indoor bumper cars, air hockey and some other video games but so far no sign of any gambling. Weird picture to put up especially facing the road like that. This arcade is located in the mall in La Ceiba as well.

If you are in the Mega Plaza I highly recommend the ice cream store and Caribbean Pizza. They are owned by the same couple and both are quite excellent.

Yeah that sounds like the place. I was hoping for a casino. Thanks.

Why hope for a casino in another third world country to alienate further the locals? If casino is really inportant thabt go to Vegas

Ther is a small casino in the mega plaza. It has about 20 slot machines in it. not very much excitment.

:banghead:

Here we go.

I remember going to a casino near AKR in the 70's...what a joke....it is long gone now......all I remember about it was that it was hot and the air was heavy with smoke...but then it was the 70's:eyebrow:

I sure hope it's not a casino.
I love Roatan just the way it is.

I live in Las Vegas, can't spit without hitting a casino. (which is a good thing to do to most of them):rofl3::rofl3::rofl3: We certainly wouldn't want to get to Roatan and find casinos there too!!:shakehead:
