I was wondering how all the winter divers out there deal with rinsing off their gear. During the other three seasons I fill a rubbermaid container with water and dunk, or rinse from the hose. Now the hose is away for the winter, and anything I would leave out to dry would freeze.

I suppose I could use the bathtub, but the people I live with probally wouldn't appreciate that :)
I gave up keeping my Jeep in my garage so I had room for dive gear and other toys. I have my rubbermaid tub in there for soaking and a rack where my gear hangs til my next dive.

This is my first year dealing with this. My after Thanksgiving project is to move the gear locker (my wifes garage bay) into the basement. There is no joy left in tending gear outside and it only gets worse.

I have basement space but lack a good floor level drain unless I use my sump and let the French drain act as a leach field. I supose I could also rig a puup to get the waste weater up to drain elevation as long as I construct the system to leave the sand and debris behind. I'm sure I could come up with an old ugly battub witout too much trouble. This could become a project.:11:

I do the rubbermaid rinse outdoors right through the winter. Keep your wetgloves handy! I then dry my gear on a rack dripping into the rubbermaid tub inside.
