I became NAUI certified at Hampden-Sydney College by Norris Eastman in 1983. After googling Norris, I found out he past away a few years ago. He will be missed. Unfortunately, I did not keep in touch with him after college. He was so laid back.

We did our open water dive in a quarry near Richmond off Route 60 I believe. Is that quarry still being used?

The next fall we went to a quarry near Dolphin, VA. A group I believe from the dive shop that Norris was associated with were setting up platforms. I mapquested both Rawlings and Dolphin. Does anyone know if this quarry is the same as Rawlings?

Dunno. I'm not familiar w/ Dolphin, VA.
I believe Lake Rawlings is in Rawlings, VA. Its worth checking out if you've never been.
