I received this email this AM anyone that can go should. Maybe we can still get that old Russian sub sunk in RI waters!
A CALL TO ACTION - HELP PASS THE WORD
This Wednesday after 3pm we will have a hearing in front of the RI Senate
Finance Committee to discuss the Pros & Cons related to establishing a
Reefing program here in Rhode Island.
I urge all of you to attend and rise in favor of this important legislative
step in our pursuit to become RI law... WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT NOW!!!!!
Please don't let this one time only opportunity pass by without your voice
being heard. Our Reefing program will create jobs, enhance the environment,
stimulate our economy, make RI a leader in Eco- Tourism and result in global
mass media attention focused on RI. This will be your legacy for the next 50 to
100 years!!!
And, we have made connections in Florida that will connect us to a growing
national underwater heritage trail.... We will have active participation from
local schools and collages in both science and art. Discussions have also begun
with local and new aquariums.
Divers and recreational anglers will win too and our local charter fleet and
Dive Shops will prosper and expand.
Please get on board with us and show your support this Wednesday at the
State House in room 211.
