And there is always the possibility of the elusive (for me) native seahorse. Yet to see on but have heard reports from others who have. I will likely dive our local lake this weekend. Heading to Ft W end of August.
 
I have seen seahorses on three separate occasions in Ft Wetherhill, but always in very shallow water, on a rock covered with fluffy type seaweed and tiny snail crustaceans and with pipefish in the vicinity. Once I was photographing a pipefish when a seahorse wandered into the frame.
