Retrofit newer buckles onto older Avanti Quattro?

I use green Avanti Quattros with the older "thumbhole" buckles. Although they work well, more than once I have cut myself while trying to unclip them getting back onto a boat. I noticed there is a newer style of buckle that now requires simply squeezing two clips together to unclip it. Can this newer style be retrofitted to my older fins?

Absolutely the new ABS + Buckles will conform to older fins. Hope this helps and saves your fingernails.
