Friends,

I have been to Putero Galera twice now, had a blast, great diving and Atlantis Reosrts was great, but for a change, the macro guys keep suggesting Anilao if one has been to PG already.

Finding resorts there via an Internet search is limited....can you all make some recomendations on nice resorts to stay there....especially ones that may have pure oxygen?

Also, what is there to do in Anilao when not diving?

Thanks!

What features do you want in a resort? There are "rustic" but inexpensive and there are higher-end but comfortable. The dives in Anilao can be cheaper than PG but the resort rooms are more expensive for what you get.

What's there to do when not diving? Eat and plan your next dive. Anilao has a KTV but that's about it. Unlike PG, Anilao doesn't allow someone to easily wander around.

Just noticed your name, I assume you want pure O2 for a rebreather? I've seen the DM at Monte Carlo (Edit: He goes by Russell) using one (a YBOD). It has really nice rooms, not sure about the general availability of O2 there but they do have all the Kimchi you can eat. :eyebrow:

Other places to check out (because they'll deal with healium) include Pier Uno (okay rooms), Planet Dive (poor rooms) and Villa Ligaya (never been).

Normally I like higher end places....sometimes though I have a hankering for going economy 2nd time around.....Yes, I do need pure 02 if I want to dive silent....

I couldn't find an English version of Monte Carlo in Anilao to check it out....

What do those guys charge per night?

Diver Dennis:
What do those guys charge per night?

about US$100 for the cottages (last time I got a quote from them early this year), they have nicer more pricier rooms though which have sliding doors opening to the view of the ocean...

At that price I trust that would include diving! I know some of the places in PG for accomodations only were $10-$20 a night...but obviously didn't include diving.
I did check out the Solana website and it looks like a nice place.....

I don't think that includes the diving (I might be mistaken though) but it does include buffet meals. Diving I believe is US$ 25. Why don't you drop them an email, look for Adrian or Joel, they would be happy to answer questions :)
