Without knowing where your located it's hard to give you a local shop. The midAtlantic runs from Virginia up to Maryland and out to West Virginia. IF your north of Baltimore Give Knight Diver in Edgewood, MD a call. I teach SSI Stress and Rescue for them. IF you live somewhere else post it here and I'm sure someone will point you at a shop closer to you.

If you are in the DC area I would recommend Splash Dive Center in Alexandria, VA.

Geeze I considered Pa & NJ in the area as well.

I am taking the course at Grimsleys (www.scubagss.com) in suffolk, va. A little drive but for a 1 on 1 course at no extra charge, how can I go wrong?

Should take 2 sessions + dives.

Can anyone recommend a local shop that offers this course? Also please tell me how long the class and diving sessions were when you took it. Thanks!
In the NOVA area, I recommend Adventure Scuba (scubava.com). They teach the NAUI Rescue class. Not counting first aid, CPR, and O2, it is one class and two days diving. FA, CPR, and O2 add anither two class room sessions.

None in annapolis, but can make one for the eastern shore, I know of a Rescue Diver Calss getting ready to start up.

In Montgomery County - The Montgomery College instructor may offer the class in June (NAUI). It's 3 2hr class sessions, and 2 weekend days at a quarry. Just completed my CPR cert to finish the last of my requirements.
