If memory serves, there are about 25 dive sites around Ko Lipe; a little more than half of them within the Marine National Park, and thus closed during the annual low season park shutdown. That still leaves plenty of places to dive. I don't know if Stonehenge and 8-M-R are even in the park. I seem to recall diving them during the park shutdown, but that was during Covid so everything was a bit screwy back then. But again, I believe all the marine parks, except Phi-Phi, shutdown during low season, so many of the best sites will be closed no matter where you go. To answer you question, even skipping SH and 8MR, it's still very much worth diving Lipe.
Thank you! Good to know! A bit relieved reading this. Haha. I just heard back from a dive shop, and they said far island dive sites and Koh yang islands will remain open.

I had dived Koh Lanta and Koh Lipe twice within 13 months Jan 2024 - Feb 2025. Weather in 2024 was awful. I had two trip reports if you care to read about my experiences.
AFAIAC Lanta is the better of the two. Unfortunately the cost is a lot higher. You can easily do 3 - 4 dives in Lipe as most of the sites are not very far. Two kinds of boat are being used in Lipe by different operators ie. big and long tail. Big boat is more comfortable but the one I had used in 2024 was ridiculously slow. However, I hate to climb back to the long tail if the sea is just a bit rough.
Andamen Dive Adventure(Dutch) is reputable and I had dived with them. The only issue with their boat is lack of proper sitting area. You have to sit on the floor most of the time.
Take a look at LANTA DIVERS(Swedish).

Awesome! Will have a read. Thank you! I now have close to 10 days. If it’s too long for Koh Lanta, I’ll still hit Koh Lipe.

If you have 10 days then you ought to try Lipe but make sure you take the earliest boat so you still have time to do afternoon dive or even a night dive at Lipe.
