"...Stop your whinning and get down here and dive! These people are awsome!!!!!!"Wildcard

I'm only whining because your there and I'm not!:confined:

Jeff, your reports are awesome! I am visualizing each dive as you describe it, and I feel like one of Pavlov's dogs!

It sounds like the non-crowded, slower pace, exclusive dive experiences are amazing!

I am going to try to get there before May!

Keep those reports coming!:director:

Jeff-

Thanks for the updates. I'm headed back to dive w/ Christi in 26 days and your posts are just the thing I needed! Keep 'em coming m8!

3 days and counting. Your reports are making it tough to concentrate on work.

24 days. Ohboyohboyohboyohboyohboy....

Today's dives were Santa Rosa Wall & Punta Tunich. We ended up doing Santa Rosa because there was a strong Southerly wind and the waves were kicked up pretty high once past Punta Tunich. No one on the boat (all 3 of us!) wanted to go farther than that. Trust me when i say that not many of the other dive ops were going any farther South either. It was a pretty crowded site today :11doh:

Santa Rosa: Vis was probably about 80-100 feet, definitely down from what we had at Colombia the day previous. Saw a Turtle and Mia saw a Spotted Eagle Ray. Damn swimthroughs!!! Actually there are some pretty cool new swimthroughs due to Wilma. She giveth and taketh away... as there was some sand on the reef. Pedro also found the tiniest juvenile Trunkfish. It had to be less than half the size of a pea, it was there just bouncing back and forth around a soft coral stem. Too cute!

Punta Tunich: Current was running backwards and was pretty strong in places. Some sand on the reef but wasn't too bad. Highlights: An Octopus in it's hole, some juvenile Drums, very large Puffers, Splendid Toadfish and Mia saw a Green Moray.

Surface Interval was at Playa San Francisco... Beach and club are completely back to normal.

Ate at Casa Denis again, we had to get Andrew to try it. He's done and is leaving tomorrow. It's a shame because he was a great guy to dive with and hang with. The one upside is due to some last minute cancellations we have the boat to ourselves the next 2 days!

La Cocay for dinner later... more updates to follow.

Damn...I hate reading these daily updates....making me want to be there badly!! But for some reason...i just keep reading....and reading...lol
I can almost taste the shrimp tacos from Camillos....and Casa Denis...mmm.....
Make sure you hit the Sonora Grill and have the Sonora shrimp.....just please dont post on here how incredibly delicious they are.......

Gdog, I have not been to Sonora Grill. Where is it? I'm leaving on the 15th and I'm already thinking of where I want to eat! How bad is that?

Makes me wish I was back in Coz.... I stayed a the Casa Mexicana two years ago and it was just like you said.

Sonora Grill is on the corner of Juarez and 15 Avenida. Yummy seafood and Mexican. One of Cozumel's best kept secrets....

I had dinner there about a week and a half ago I believe on a Thursday night. The food was good and the restaurant clean. I was there from about 7:00 to 8:00 PM and I was the only customer in the restaurant. It seemed a shame for such a nice place but I guess it is a well kept secret. I did have a good conversation with the waiter however and will definitely go back on my next trip.
