I've got an old SP R295 regulator that's starting to look shabby.

I want to replace the front cover/diaphragm assembly - it's pretty worn out and the cover thread is loose now (can fall off if bashed). I'd like to get the reg back into action. I've noticed the design of the R295 has changed - so it poses a question.

Basically change from this...

to this...

I expecting there'll be no compatibility issues, but just wanted to confirm this before I placed an order for the parts.

Any advice/assurance/warning, most gratefully received.

Cheers

You have an R380 octo by what I can see in the picture which does have the same body/cover and threads as the R295. However, I am concerned that you say the cover falls off when "bashed" as this could be a safety issue. The threads on either the body, housing, or both could be damaged and I strongly suggest you have a certified SCUBAPRO technician take a look.
