When replacing socks it is a neoprene to neoprene joint. My plan is to use seal cement. Is it preferred to make a butt joint and cover with finishing tape? Or make an overlap joint? If overlapped does it matter which is inside or out? I'm guessing that the diameter of the sock or suit leg will dictate this.

Thanks,
Drex

But joints work great, if you make sure it fits and do it right. We always cover with finishing tape on the outside for more grab and to protect the but joint.

If you do overlap, which we have to do on trilam and bilams, always put it on the OUTSIDE, or you lose your inner diameter and make it harder for your foot to go in/out
