Have 2 snorkel vests that need repairing. The inflation tubes both came unstuck where they are welded to the vests. Otherwise vests are in XL condition. Does epoxy work well for this repair? Vests are dry and will glue them inside the hole and apply some epoxy to the outside of the hose base where it meets vests. Any suggestions for a different glue if epoxy is not good?

Thanks,

Dan

Snorkle vests are fairly cheap ...... don't try and repair and just go out and buy new ones. Most glues (including epoxy) will weaken and breakdown when exposed to heat or water. Be safe .... spend a few bucks and get a new one.

I'm with scubapro50 on this one. Take a knife to them and be done with it. I've never had great luck repairing that sort of material, especially in a high stress location as seems apparent by the failure in the first place.

To clarify however.... did the tubes pop off the fitting or did the fitting tear out of the body? The former is worth a try with aquaseal, the latter... get the knife.
