Most folks seem to have a far better sense of humor that I do regarding the demise of the HCT.
I think this admirable, as I can sometimes suffer from a lack of a sense of humor at times.
On principle alone, I am exceedingly annoyed with "The powers that be" for removing the HCT.
I looked at it perhaps a few dozen times over the years of its existence, and thought it was harmless fun where it was in fact BURIED in the Pub, where you have to "opt in".
I did not find it to be Porn.
I am not happy it is gone, for the same reason that I am not happy that Jimbo's is gone.
Life is now a little less interesting, more bland, predictable, and mainstream.

I'm going to disagree with you Jenny. I'm sure that's how you see it, but that thread's been in The Pub for a long time ... and several members of SB staff (including Pete) participated from time to time. It seems pretty arbitrary for someone to suddenly decide it's "offensive" and make it go away.
For the record, I didn't frequent that thread ... and wouldn't be involving myself in this conversation if it weren't for another member deciding to use me as an "example" to make a point about censorship. But it does seem like deleting it was an unnecessary provocation, and an imposition of some mod's "morals" in someone else's conversation.
