It's also against the law to drink and drive, rob, murder, lie under oath...................

Yet we have daily examples that laws mean very little to some people.

Maybe Florida should come up with a new classification of game fish for spear fishing....

Humanus Clepto Opicus (roughly - stupid human thief)

$35 fee anually, must provide photo or video proof of the offender in the act. You get to keep the dive gear.

Once, at the age of about 7, I brought home some object I found walking home from school. Upon questioning by my Father on the source of said object, I replied that I didn't know who the owner was. I have always remember his reply, "But . . ., you know it is not yours."

Show you disapproval with your charter fees! There are several good charter boats that RESPECT the value to all of us. I've dove the "O" 10 times and can tell you that this behavior is not typical of the divers in the area.

wow... at $145 per charter, that's a lot of $$$ to have spent already on diving that wreck, seeing it's only been sunk for about 2 months.

I can't wait until Oriskany Dive Master Eric sees this post. Where are you buddy? What do you think? DM Eric knows everyone in Pcola. Is Captain Tim local? I haven't heard of them but I guarantee I won't be giving them any of my money or stepping a foot on the Viking.

That's a local Pensacola dive charter. Their website can easily be found with Google.

Diver Dennis:
I agree. I would report them for just being so stupid, let alone stealing.

I wonder if stupid makes a good defense? ;)

As Ron White puts it: "You can't fix stupid".

You can't take it with you (money I mean) and actually my trips were all $150 for two dives. Plus if you live here it is cheaper than flying somewhere!

to remove....

What do others here think about divers removing parts of the ship on the OriskanY?

Mike, I assume you saw my quote on that list the same day. I unsubscribed from that list as soon as I found out the behavior was condoned. I have no desire to be associated with that kind of behavior.

Well if you took something every time you dove it for example, other divers would see all the panels in the control rooms on the bridge bare and stripped!

BTW... 10 Big O' trips... where are your trip reports!

I haven't done trip reports. I also have all these great pictures but I can't figure out how to post them. Rookie at posting.

The web site is www.VikingDivingpensacola.com . Email is Vikingdiving@aol.com. Just sent him a "friendly" note about using her as his ops own personal treasure trove. And hoping his customer has great difficulty swallowing his find. Also told him to tell his looters to not post their exploits on the web.
