This is how i made a removable P-weight for my backplate. It make the transportation on land easier, also easier to handle the rig out of the water.
The video don`t show the 6mm bungee that lock the weight in the top of the backplate, sorry for that. But i think you understand the concept :)

 
The amount of weight is individual, i am a cold water diver and made it 10 kg to meet my wishes. What you need and prefer is up to you. Just add 500g extra lead when you melt it, you will lose it in slag etc.

There is a much simpler video on YouTube where all you does is pour a mould of sand into the backplate depending on how much weight you need and then pour in lead. Wait. Then you’re finished after removing the sand mould
