Remote control option for GoPro?

i currently have an extendable monopod that I use when scuba diving. I'm wondering if there are options for a remote control monopod that I can use to control the GoPro? I hate the hassle of having to pull in the monopod to press the button to record. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

Try an iDive ipad case so you can control your GoPro and as a bonus, you can also use it as a viewfinder.

Ok. Well first of all I'm not taking an iPad down with me when diving, and second, I need something that is more waterproof than 33 feet. So thanks but those suggestions didn't help.

So particular, how about developing some social skills and you might find a dive buddy to replace the monopod.
