I hear a lot of good things about HOG, and no doubt it's well deserved. The trouble is I have never seen any for sale in the UK, so spares and servicing would be an issue here.

One word: Apeks.

They don't seem too popular in the US, apparently due to parts & service, but they're great regs from the XTX40 and up. IMHO, the XTX50/XTX40 combo is a pretty good deal. And they're cold water compatible.

Typos are a feature, not a bug

They are available online at several stores. And TDI has a class you can take to learn to service them yourself which I particularly like, though it's not everyone's cup of tea.

I've never seen a set of HOG regs and nothing immediately crops up on Google. Anyone with a bit of engineering nous and manufacturer's instructions can service regs, however getting parts may be an issue.

I am an Apeks user and recommended them in my first post in this thread.

Hog regs are just not practical for someone living in the UK. Parts are not readily available, nor is servicing (or the TDI Hog servicing class). The HOG classic single package comes in at £262.00 without shipping with the exchange rate right now. Apeks ATX 40 (x2) and DS4 with an spg can be had for about £250.00.
HOGs are not bad regs (I used to to have a set). But I sold them because getting parts was a pain.

Rivers wtf are u doing up at this time on a Sunday,, your either crazy or like me..a new father :(

They do have Royal Mail in the uk, right? Although, with the prevelance of Apeks in the UK that would be the go to reg. Yes, you'd save money and have an almost equally good reg set with HOG, sometimes it's just easier to go with Apeks.
