Thailand has implement a set of new scuba diving regulations effective from 22nd Apr 2025. It also covers snorkelling as well.
The camera issue is just part of it.
Look it up so there won't be any complaint if you got caught and fined.

All these latest scuba diving regulations are nothing as compare with the two tiers pricing differences which has been going on for many years.

Written in 2020.

Thailand is a Buddhist country but this practice is a rip off and target only to foreigners. Unfortunately, another Buddhist country Sri Lanka also practicing this unfair regulation.
