It's not the al equipment that is discounted. Its their dive equipment for the Paris dive show. Scubapro is also discounted, but they don't have a lot of choice there.Skip few meals, don't drink alcohol for a couple of weeks and get the Scubapro MK17/s620ti or c370 or the MK11 Evo with c370. Don't risk it with AL. There is a reason why the AL equipment is discounted that much, they are going under!

Would the poseidon Xstream be a good choice for the same price as a mk19 g260 set?
Do yourself a long term favor and just buy Scubapro.
Buy once cry once.
The Xstream is IMHO a niche reg that has no competition in extremely cold water, especially deep. Deep diving in swiss lakes year round would be a good application. They breathe amazing at depth, but feel mechanical in the shallows. A bit like a Landrover. It's not the al equipment that is discounted. Its their dive equipment for the Paris dive show. Don't be so sure about Aqualung's Military and commercial contracts. I have a buddy who goes to DEMA and is pretty knowledgable about the inner workings of the dive industry. Contrary to what I thought I knew, Aqualung no longer manufactures the Conshelf 14/1083 in USA and in fact it may not even be manufactured anymore anywhere. It's actually pretty secretive and always has been once they took it off the recreational market.Last I heard Aqualung's major shareholder was not happy about financial management and took over control of the company. That "sale" is supposed to have had frozen the books and cause supply issues. I think Aqualung's military contracts give them financial stability, and they should be able to stick around. I consider what I just wrote a rumour, so take it FWIW...
