For what it's worth from a noob,
I dive the Oceanic Neo, (only about 15 dives) and prefer it over any other reg I have tried: Titan, Scuba Pro rental, Sherwood rental, Genesis rental. It breathes super easy (from my experience of regulators thus far), doesn't free flow on the surface, and is nice and dry.
I called Oceanic tech support due to something I read on this site about it being "an EOS without the adjustment knob". He confirmed that it's true. Mine has the older CDX-5 first stage.
