Hi everybody.

I'm trying to figure out what the value of some regulator/octopus combo's I have are. I used them about 6 times each, cleaned after each dive. Unfortunately, due to a medical problem I can no longer dive. So I'm going to sell some of my equipment, I just can't figure out what they are worth.

I have two, they are both the same.

It's a scuba pro octopus. Scuba pro gauge thingy with the three analog psi/depth gauge/compass, and an atomic aquatics titanium b1 regulator.

So any ideas at the approximate value of these things?

Thanks a bunch.

Easier to suggest a relative value than an absolute value, without knowing some of the details of the particular gauges. Take the amount you paid for it, divide by half. That should give an approximate eBay floor value. I actually look for the best on-line discount price for a unit and then use 50% of that as a buying guide when considering eBay items. Depending on the general popularity of the particular regulator, the price may be somewhat lower, or pleasantly higher if it is a very popular model. You mention they have only been lightly used. How 'old' they are may also influence buyer enthusiasm. If they are 10 years old and used only 6 times, you will get a lower price than if they are 1 year old and used 6 times.

Hello Spinosaurus,

Welcome to Scuba Board.

In order to assist you, a little more information would be helpful:

What model of each stage.
How old?
Any signs of corrosion, dry rotting etc.

In the meantime, you can go to eBay and do and search the item, click on SOLD in the ADVANCED SEARCH and you should be able to come up with a ballpark figure.

Good luck and please keep us posted,

couv

Edit: Nice post Colliam
