When it goes through the X-ray machine they usally take a second look, but then realize wht it is and let it pass. I haven't had them want to go through my bags yet.

I usually tell the inspector that there's a reg in the bag as I put it on the belt when I fly out of my home airport (MEM). They don't see as many as in a coastal airport, but I haven't had any problems with them wanting to look any further.

5 Regulators in one Carry-on Bag for a recent Tech Trip to Singapore (no issues with the Authorities at Changi Int. Airport) . . .the darn thing weighed in at nearly 15lbs!

I've never had any problems. I usually stick my computers/reg/mask into the reg bag, and then carry my lights and a few personal items in a backpack.
