I am wondering if anyone could give me a recommendation of a good (cheap but fun) instructor, which could give me refresher?

I dont have any gear - not even fins or a mask... any recommendations?

Since you are requesting the LA area, my I suggest John Lumb at Reefseeker he is a nice guy, you might want to give him a call.

Hmmm.....Let me see if I can think of one.....

Contact Reefseekers at (310) 652-4990 to inquire. John does not do refreshers that I'm aware of, but he is great for furthering your diving knowledge ie Rescue, DM, IDC, ect.:eyebrow:

I would suggest talking to Jerry Del Rosario :D who is a Reefseeker instructor. He teaches many of the OW classes and might be able to have you sit in on a class or two for a refresher. He would be a good one to help you with gear selection as well. One thing that is nice about getting gear at Reefseekers, they offer 100% satisfaction, also FREE airlfills too.:eyebrow:

Check out their website for upcoming classes, Free  Beach Diving, Free  Night Diving, and upcoming boat trips. http://www.Reefseekers.com Once you have taken a refresher, come along on one of the boat trips. Reefseekers also offers free DM escorts to those that aren't quite comfortable diving or navigating dive sites. :crafty:

I've taken the free beach diving/navigation course. Several people there were getting a "refresher" out of it. Great offering from Reefseekers. It was held at Vet's Park in Redondo. Then from there, further your dive education as Jan says.

I've never taken a class with Otter but have been out diving with him and he would be another great instructor to get in touch with.
