Dove Shaw's yesterday (March 4 morning). It was already very warm when were gearing up at 10 AM. Asked a few exiting divers about conditions and they said "some kind of red tide - real bad viz". No surf to mention - we dropped in 15 ft. and initially had 15+ viz. Once we got on the other side of the entrance to the swim-through it was a different story - could see the cloud. Heading out to the end of the reef viz was never better than 8 and probably closed in to 6. Swimming back was against a lot of current - lots of water moving through the reef. Bottom temperature was 55 F throughout.

Not sure whether it was a red tide or something else but the air temperature was really hot and the viz was really low considering the lack of wave and surge action. Hope this isn't going to be trend for the next few weeks.
