If you want to dive a day with Ocean Frontiers, just contact them and reserve - but I would suggest doing this soon as they tend to book up.

What site are you finding info about AI packages at Cayman Dive Lodge? They were wiped out by Hurricane Ivan and are rebuilding, but AFAIK they aren't done yet and according to their web site they aren't even reopening until spring (and I'll believe that when it actually happens.) There are lots of web sites floating around from various dive shops and travel agencies that list packages at places that don't exist anymore (not only this one) and never seem to get updated.

The other option on the East End is Tortuga Divers at Morritt's, they're now a part of Red Sail Sports. No personal experience with either but from what I've read, I'd book with Ocean Frontiers if I were diving the East End.

The East End Op is Ocean Frontiers. There are no AI only resorts out east. OF does have condos, but they don't require you to stay there to dive with them. The Reef does now offer AI as an option, but that's for meals/drinks and has nothing to do with diving. Their dive op is OF.

I don't know where you're hearing about EE AI only dive ops - I'm not aware of any AI only dive ops out East End and I've been going there regularly since '99.

If you want to dive East End, Ocean Frontiers is the op to use..

Yeah, what daz just said! Ocean Frontiers (www.oceanfrontiers.com) is THE way to go on the East End.

I would highly recommend Neptune's Divers website is neptunesdivers.com and email is neptunes@neptunesdivers.com owned by Keith & Casey Keller. Our neighbors have been diving with them for years. We joined them and took a resort course in July 2007, then returned with our family of 5 for OW certification in July 2008. They know all the sites and are extremely good with regards to dive briefing and spotting and sharing what they see. We have done 20+ dives with them and will surely return for more.

Neptune's Divers are one of our two SMB area dive ops, the other being Divetech. The thing we like about Neptune's is the small, personal groups.

Casey and Keith will take great care of you.

the only one i have tried is ocean frontiers. was very satisfied with them. it was remarkably calm when i was there but i have heard that the east end is usually pretty rough in winter. everyone kept telling me how lucky i was.

I posted to your other thread before I got down to this one. You got several main points, Cayman does not work like Cozumel. many operators pick up by van if you need it, it's very convenient to have a car, it's a fair trek to the East End, even from Sunset House in Georgetown. Some operators from SMB generally stay on the West side and may not go North, you may want to check this out ahead of time if the North Wall is on your list to dive. Conditions sometime preclude these trips. I generally avoid Georgetown, not because of the airport, but because of the cruise ships and their many, many passengers.

Good diving, Craig
